Rochester offers excellent access by air, highway, rail and water to national and global markets. the Spaulding Turnpike a multi-lane, limited access highway with six exits within the City. This expressway provides easy access to Interstate 95, the Pease International Airport, Boston's Logan Airport, Manchester International Airport, the Portland International Jetport and the Port of Portsmouth. In addition to the turnpike, major highways in Rochester also include routes 11, 108, 125, and 202.

Rochester offers quality educational programs from continuing education courses, two-year Associate degrees to four-year Bachelor degrees and higher education programs available at Great Bay Community College's Rochester Campus and the University of New Hampshire in Durham.

Rochester is well known for its arts, cultural and recreational amenities. The historic Rochester Opera House provides live performances including music, dance, theater and also offers the Rochester Performance & Arts Center for developing performing artists. The Rochester Museum of Fine Arts provides public art exhibits in several locations throughout the City. In addition, craft galleries, antiques and collectible shops are offered. Musical entertainment is featured at several venues and offers outdoor concerts in the summer. The Granite State Fair is the state’s longest-running agricultural fair attracting thousands of visitors to the city.  Other amenities include recreational facilities including Roger Allen Athletic Park hosting youth baseball along with a “buddy ball” field, an 18-hole golf course, driving range, cross-country skiing and more. Skyhaven Airport in Rochester offers hangar and maintenance services to private pilots and offers certified flight training.

Rochester provides quality healthcare. Frisbie Memorial Hospital has been providing quality health care services for over one hundred years. Its long-standing commitment to improving community health began in 1916. Eagle Hospital, prior to Frisbie’s incorporation in 1919 - with only ten beds, one physician and four nurses – had provided the medical services to the greater Rochester community. Today, Frisbie Memorial Hospital is licensed for 112 beds and employs over 700. The hospital offers a broad range of medical, diagnostic, behavioral, and surgical services, providing access to a comprehensive network of medical providers that includes specialty care in the areas of orthopedics, pulmonary medicine, urology, oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, and many more. Through the adoption of best practices in medical, surgical and behavioral health services, Frisbie continues to be recognized nationally for patient safety and satisfaction. The private, tax-paying hospital is a member of HCA Healthcare’s Capital Division, one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare services.

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce office provides an Information Center, providing information to residents and visitors on local business services, maps, community events and attractions in the state.
